The landscape of the Jacqueville property is conceived as a journey of discovery - a contemplative open-air gallery where art, nature, and sensation merge. The arrival is defined by a powerful mineral gesture: a monumental rock, once a single mass, is split and separated to form a dramatic gateway, as if the earth itself had opened to welcome its houseguests.
Beyond this threshold, the garden unfolds a curated journey through a landscape that rather than being just a static one, it gradually transforms into a multidimensional /theatrical staging through a sequence of hidden moments and discovery spaces. This is also reflected in the hardscape pattern which sets the perfect stage to showcase each and every single piece that was fondly and meticulously handpicked all around the world and settled in this refined space. This is definitely amongst the biggest and richest collection of minerals in the world where some monuments reach up to few meters high. They only leave you speechless and mesmerized.
The design intent was to create a haven for the client to stroll around each corner discovering new gems, like an afternoon stroll at the fanciest museum where you get to skip the queuing and wander along freely, unrestrictedly and privately.
Natural precious stones and exquisite minerals, sculptures, and reflective water features appear along meandering gravel paths that wind through lush tropical vegetation of bamboo, layered foliage, and shade trees. Inspired by the spirit of Zen gardens, the landscape is designed as a multisensory experience: the sound of water and birds, the rustling leaves, the textures of gravel underfoot, and the fragrances of surrounding plants create an immersive and contemplative atmosphere.
The villa becomes the cusp between two landscapes - a composed, museum-like garden and a more natural environment. Through water, open views, and softer forms, the landscape gradually transitions toward the lagoon, where the garden gently dissolves into sand, vegetation, and horizon.
A large infinity pool reflects the architecture and creates a cascading water edge that signals this transformation. Beyond it, is where the garden gradually becomes more natural and expansive, with grasses, open lawns, and sculptural elements inspired by wildlife, gently blending into the sand and the surrounding lagoon landscape.
Not only is the reverberated dialogue visual and compelling, it activates one’s sensorial appetite without forcing it but rather flowing (with it). The design doesn’t dominate the site; quite the opposite it works with it, allowing nature to take over.
